DD - loving your plump little robin. Looks particularly content and jolly!

But in keeping with the thread title, this is what my subject thinks of me today....

(quick edit)

It is, of course, a baby Egyptian Goose, not a duck as such smile

Slightly unusual one this, I have a friendly local blackbird who takes worms from my garden, here is him in happy times :

Blackbird_Pigeon_Spike3 by Nature Ist, on Flickr

However he showed up a few days ago with what I think was a spike from a pigeon deterrent stuck in his neck ! The good news is that it has fallen out now and he seems to be unharmed, but I have not seen anything like that before.

Plumpest robin I've seen for a while. Nice texture on the feathers just off the red breast too.

Awoken this morning by an almighty racket in dream world which turned out to be the breaking and entering of a Blue Tit home.........

Love all of these ! Did you see the Springwatch episode tonight from Minsmere ? I think your shot of that Bittern beat them, you have better acuity on the eye.

A Starling flock with their fledglings visited the garden today :

I managed to capture one being fed by its mother, something I have seen but never quite managed to photograph sharply before.
