Thanks Expat2B! He's been back a few times. I've tried to get outside to take a few pics but he won't play and flies off as soon as he clocks me, so I'll have to settle for whatever I can get behind the patio doors and try to keep the glass clean smile

Never seen a pheasant anywhere than on terra firma or flying, so was surpised to see this one on my (very wonky) 6ft garden fence.
I think I should be down there by Jan Stan, on Flickr

So, longshot, but worth a try! I'm off to Minsmere on Sunday for a dawn start, fingers crossed for Bitterns, Otters and god knows what else. Anyone interested?

Due to rubbish weather I decided to stay local and went to Fowlmere instead, otter and a couple of kingfishers.

You must have captured that one straight out of a Beauty Parloursmile

Turns out there are short eared owls just half a mile from work, will nip down with a longer lens next time the light is good. Quite pleased with this on a 200 from a distance.

Stunning photo and great effort. I actually prefer the second one in that link, the action shot, but thats personal preference. Heaps of respect for the man.

Nice shot WWA, all puffed up, almost makes me feel cold just looking at him!

A few from RSPB Pulborough Brooks this morning. The weather was supposed to hold out until 10:00 - 11-00, it didn't!

Guys, apologies for the poor image quality. Wife filmed this from distance on the camera and I've just taken a snap of the screen. What is this? I thought Fieldfare but the head/beak and legs don't look quite right to me?
