It seems we may have a new Robin claiming his territory in out garden.

Very loud but rather lonely so far.

Tends to sit at the top of the plum tree singing his head off for ages - until I decide to get the camera out. He seems to understand my intent - I just have to prepare, not even appear.

These were taken though the kitchen double glazing so somewhat compromised and very heavily cropped.

Hmm.

For some reason the usual photobucket links don't seem to be working.

Puzzled.

Sussed it.

The preset code for the IMG link was missing the "|" separator.

Strange. I suppose there has been an "enhancement" to the Photobucket web site at some point ....

We don't see many Little Egrets locally and I spent a lot of time before I got this shot. Lovely animals

This was taken on a golf course in Devon yesterday during a Pro-Am that I was photographing. It was taken on a fairly short lens so it's been fairly heavily cropped, but it's rare for me to see a woodpecker, let alone have my camera with me.

This one has appeared on my patio, there should be enough ants to keep it here for a while hopefully!

True.

However some years ago, in the not particularly rural village where my mother had lived, there were a pair around one year that walked around the cul-de-sac on the ground much like the other birds and only slightly more timid than the pigeons, sparrows and other regulars. Behaviour modification I suppose. Why that should be I have no idea.

Oh yer Meadow Pipet it is! I can give it a title now, thanks. It was in a grass field on the edge of some sand-dunes in Northumberland.

I've just moved to Sandy in Bedfordshire and about 10 minutes walk away is the RSPB HQ @ The Lodge

Looking forward to how frustrated bird watching makes me lol
