Baz, what software are you using to stitch these? Can see quite a few misaligns in this last one.

PS elements (v7 i think), part of the issue is too little shots taken when using the 10-20mm, a few more and it would likely have matched up much better.

I use AutoStitch, give it a go and see if it comes out any smoother.

Firing up the external HDD now to see how it can do...

No joy, even more issues, every overlap area produces ghosting, I think it's purely down to shooting too few images with the lens at 10mm, too much angle to compensate for from one shot to the next...

Here's a quick screenshot to show what I mean above...

Only one answer then, you're going to have to go back and reshoot it at a more sensible focal length with eleven gazillionity one shots. Happy days.

(More seriously, I'm surprised by that result from AutoStitch, it seems to cope with my 15mm (I realise that there is a big difference between 15mm and 10mm) shots almost perfectly).

I do have a few other pieces of pano stitching software back home, the joy of being out on the road with my laptop for 3 months leaves me with the bare essentials (well ok, I have lightroom, CS5 etc, so a little more than the bare essentials) biggrin

Does Photoshop make a better job of making a pano then with your 'dodgy' images?

I find that different programs (CS5, Microsoft ICE and Autostitch) produce different results, but which one is best ????

Thought I would resurrect this thread as I recently bought a Sony RX100 which has a sweep panorama setting. I tried it out in New York recently on a trip and was pleasantly surprised with the result.

I picked up an RX100 ready for my trip to Japan, which was then cancelled at the eleventh hour (the trip, not the camera), hopefully will find some time to give it a workout soon, looks like it does quite well smile

It does, I was really pleased with the sunset panoramas, I've tweaked the file slightly with LR but other than that they are straight out of the camera. It took me a couple of tries to get the speed of sweep right but after that there was no stopping me :-) . I wish I'd spent a bit of time thinking about it as I just used it in Landscape mode and did a sweep from left to right. If I 'd changed it to a vertical sweep direction and held the camera in Portrait mode that might have given me some different picture aspect ratios

A view from the top of the hill at UEA.

10 shots in total. 5 for the foreground, which originally had a washed out sky, but then the sky suddenly clouded over and the sun burst through, so I took 5 separate shots for the sky and put it together in CS5.

My photoshop skills still aren't the best, but I was quite pleased with this.
