I have been asked to look into suppling replacment Targa Panel Locating Tangs but dont have a sample to work from, can anybody help (free spares if we do make some as an inducement)

Norman, I bought some of the lugs from TVR s parts and think I have one spare. I assume your referring to the male piece rather than female?

Yes, got the female ones its just the male I need, would only be for borrows

I need the male fittings as mine are very worn.How do you change them ?

TVR CarParts are having some made at present, I am awaiting delivery. About a fiver each I think.

Just recieved my new Targa lugs from TVRcar Parts. £5.00 each. If you want some I would move quickly he only has a limited stock.

The process isn't on my site a I forgot to take photos when doing mine and despite promises noone has sent me any either. Happy to explain to anyone how though just drop me an email or PM noting now I am in London for work on the week I am limited to iPhone so long posts are not an option

Could someone post a few pictures of whats going on here, can't see how a steel lug that goes into a plastic hole wears out confused

They dont wear out, mine have rusted out where the lug fits into the panel. I've yet to find out how to remove the remains of the rusted lug and secure the new one. I'm thinking of useing a Dremil type tool to cut the old one out and set the new one in epoxy resin. Any thoughts?

Off topic I know. I am trying to upload a couple of pics.of rotten Targa tangs using Thumbsnap as underlined at the top of the reply page. It says max picture size 2MB mine are 2.03. Can any tellme how to reduce or compress the pics. so I can place them on the forum? Thanks
