As the title says, Im trying to locate a V8Sc (reg M40 VBS), Cosmos Blue that has been in Amsterdam for the last 10 years.
It is the last but one V8Sc to be produced (the last one was written off and scrapped soon after its purchase), so this car is literally the Last V8Sc.

A bit of background. The car was/is owned by my friend, the late Martin Gilbert who was storing it in a friends garage. The car suffered extensive water ingress and was later moved to another location (unknown to me), and is supposed to be in quite a bad state.

My friend has subsequently passed away (2 years now) and so far my attempts to locate his car ( and return it to his family in the UK ) have been without success.

I tried emailing the Dutch TVRCC secretary but never recieved a response.
My Friend lived in Amstelveen, so I guess the car is still within 10 - 15 km of that part of the city.

May be worth posting this/linking in the Belgian or Netherlands forum - there's quite an active TVR community over here.

No suggestions... The guy died, the executor of his will was a manipulative cock and I will do time if I ever meet him given the way he treated my mates elderly mother and father.( they have nothing to remember their son by, 2 bank acounts "drained" and no one accountable ).

I just want to find his car, return it to either his parents or his sister and let them decide what to do with it

Here is a dutch text for you to post on the forum (although they'll all understand English perfectly anyway):

I've left out the stuff about it being a rare model etc. as it might encourage the wrong kind of interest. If I can be of further help let me know. smile

Much appreciated.

as far as I know, the car was once being "looked after" but a guy called "Lammy" who had a garage / company called "Toys for Boys" or something like that, I believed he specialised in US muscle cars / classics etc. From here, things are pretty much blank.

The Car is still registered in the UK, and I can proove ownership details etc.

Maybe worth messaging 900T-R on here? He's a Dutch TVR owner / motoring journalist and may be able to help in some way.

Off the subject but of interest is the last of the V8S.
Bible says M951NOP was the last, but from enquiries this was registered on 24th Dec 94 and M40VBS was registered on 31st. However who knows when they were built.
I also know of a Green car registered in October, a red in August and my Blue car in June. Anyone know of anymore late V8S?

As far as I was told when I went to buy M40VBS (yes, I did the deal for my mate when he bought it), she was the second to last Chassis to be produced (the selling dealer (Newtown Motors) informed me of the demise of the last chassis not long after it was produced when the car was written off). She also came with Chimaera 5 spoke wheels.
