Mike,

I probably became flustered with the thoughts of your Anne Summers style handbrake lever!!!

Ok Chaps, Further update and PAYMENT

Spoke to the manufacturer (Lee/LeeB) and to save us all a lot of hassle and you guys any further expense he will take your orders and deal with the P&P... As such because i dont need to handle them and send them on again individually, I reckon your now looking at £25 incl P&P, one in the eye for the costly royal mail ;-)....

He has suggested that you simply contact him directly via PH (LeeB he is in this conversation string) or via l.gascoyne@btinternet.com, he will then log you on a spreadsheet and send out the knob once you have paid.

His Payment Methods are:

PayPal
Bank transfer
Personal cheque

Once you contact Lee he will send you the appropriate details for your payment.

Hope this all makes sense and your all happy with the knobs.... please let me know when you have them and what you think I'd be interested to know after all this hard work.....

Rich
FURTHER UPDATE:

If you wish to contact Lee via PH mail then its LeeT350c not LeeB as i had stated earlier... sorry about that....

Hi All

Just a quick update. I have now got loads of emails!!

I will start a list based on the order here and contact you all. Please note this first batch is to suit the S series cars with the M10 x 1.5 thread as per earlier posts. If your unsure take off your knob and see if a standard 10mm nut will go on ok.

I will take note of anyone with a V8S and once I have enough of you (say 10) I will find out what thread you require and do them.

Not sure if Rich mentioned but this is something I do in my spare time and work (which pays the bills) is hectic at the minute so please bear with me.

Cheers. Lee.

Hi there all

Just been reading with great interest, about all the new shinny bits potentially available for the S Series.

I would like to put my name down for an alloy gear knob with the flat top & etched please, for my S3.

Also, may I put my name forward for a set of alloy interior switches (the round one's for the - dash lights, fog lights and heater fan).

Look forward to knowing when I can get hold of the above and fit to my beloved car!

All the best

Lee

The postman has just delivered my new gear knob and it's even better than I thought it would be.
Cheers to LeeT350c and Knowler for all their hard work. Are there any plans to make more shiny 'S' bits?

4th'ed by me!

Just picked it up, looks good. Will go and fit it if the rain ever stops!

Thanks again to Rich and Lee for making this happen. The S world would be poorer without people doing stuff like this.

Mine has arrived too - thanks Lee, and thanks for being so patient.
I'll be able to fit mine as soon as I get out of hospital :-).... assuming they ever find out what it was that got me here in the first place (and don't say ambulance!)

Morning All

Just a quick update. Following the flooding last week the CNC company I use suffered with water ingress which delayed their main work whilst they cleared out and had machines repaired.

To keep the cost of these to where it is, I have them fit me in when they have a machine spare (my friend works there which helps) but they are now playing catch up.

So I must appologise for the delay on the next batch and thank those of you on the list who have paid already for being patient. If you would like me to return your money until they are ready please let me know and I will. I am told that they should be done in around 10 days.

Thanks again for your praise and emails thanking me. It means a lot to me to have other owners happy!! It is sad news though to see Rich has had to sell his car with the first one fitted.

Cheers

Lee

Finally got a round to fitting my new knob ( wink ).

Took a bit longer than planned as the thread on the gear stick was a bit buggered so spent an hour with a cheap die recutting it - what joy...

But, really pleased with the result. Looks good and "falls naturally to hand" as they used to say in road tests.

Hopefully will manage to get out and road test it tomorrow.

Happy Gary driving

Had the same problem with mine, don't think it had ever had a proper threaded knob on it. Lovely solid feel to it, wonder if I can get a heated one? A bit cold on the hand this time of the year.

Driving gloves wink

Actually my next job is to sort the engine warm up time - at least yours warms up quick (plan to steal your cunning solution)! I reckon the gear knob will warm up faster by conduction than through any effort from the heater!
