Hi Chaps,
Anyone know if this is possible.
Have found some Chimaera seats for sale, wondered if they would fit my 1990 "S"

I would have thought so. I have Cerbera seats in mine and they were a straight swap. They sit slightly higher than the S seats but being a short arse, it isn't a problem. Far better lateral support and they have the lumbar pump.

.
That is exactly the answer I wanted, as my partner, she is on the short side, is not so keen on the "S" as she cannot see the bonnet from the passenger seat. So if I can get these I will earn brownie points and get a few drive trips to do.
I am not the tallest person I know either by the way.

They bolt straight in and use existing fixing holes.

On the front of the seat rail was a bracket, I removed these as it gave the seat a tail down attitude.

I'd like to upgrade mine and from the sounds of it many of you have... with success...

Question: Where is a good place to source a pair then??? They dont seem to appear on ebay often and if they do they are in dodgy colour....

Never understood this desire for Chimaera seats ?
I found them far less supportive than my S seats, any "spirited" cornering had to done one handed coz the other arm was needed to wedge against door or centre console!
There are, I believe, two or three different styles of S seats

My seat has collapsed currently sat on piece of plywood. Plus there is no shape to them, judging from the passenger one, is more like the seat in my 1966 Singer Gazelle, only lower. Even my Bora oil burner has sculpted seats that hold you in place. So chimaera seats will be a luxury.
By the way chaps I know who you are, the ones I have found are mine, mine all mine. Ho ho ho ho.
