Discussion
Parts arrived from Burtons today.
Engine mounts and Gearbox mount, all look as expected so should fit no problem.
Another question.
While the engine and gearbox are out and lying on the floor I may as well have a look at the clutch. Am I right in assuming that this is a standard Ford Capri 2.8i clutch kit ? (should it need replacing that is).

Bit of a mine field this topic. Lots of past discussion on the topic of Clutches. I believe you are correct that the clutch can be a capri clutch, though mine was fitted with a Granada clutch, which despite my initial concern (having read some past discussion), seems to be ok.
Adrian Venn advises that 'some' Granada clutches may work initially, then start to slip after a few thousand miles.
I guess the important thing is to make some comparison measurements between the old, and the new item!

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the info and links.
The Adrian Venn issue appears to be with the 2.9 engine/flywheel not the 2.8.
Looking at Clutch kits for the 2.8 Cologne throws up the same part number for Capri 2.8, Granada 2.8 and Sierra XR4i.
Certainly will have to have a careful look before purchasing.
