Is this the targa top to door window ?
Mine, the flap piece seems to pass over the top of a partially dropped window then seals where it touches the bulbous part, but there are still gaps, even after raising the window a bit after closing the door, the "quarter light " bit of the frame seems to slip under the seal ok.
Yes, that's the one. My "quarter lights" crush it! The glass on one side will pass under, but the other side just pushes it back. I don't know if I can drop the frame enough to make it work, but it's either that or raise the roof panel edges.

I reckon that as the roof leaks a bit round the door edges and top of the windscreen, by sticking a run of rubber seal around the windscreen top it should stop water getting in and raise the targa top by a few millimeters, this should be just enough for the quarter light bit of the dooe frame to pass under. Once I have sprayed the screen surround I will be fixing this rubber seal. Could be a week or two but will report back.

This has perplexed me for a while.
I think the "girl with pigtails on a bicycle" seals should be affixed to the targa panels starting from where the rear edge of the "quarter light" door frame meets the roof, up to the rear end of the panel.
My seals as fitted extend to the extreme forward end of the panels & force the quarter light frames outwards, causing leaks. I don't think there should be an overlap at the front end, a nice snug butt ( sorry ) against the edge of the frame would be more weatherproof.

I have an early S with wind-up windows, and have to leave the glass wound down about 1/2" to prevent trapping the outer flap.
I have a gap at the rear where the seals do not extend to meet the seals on the
"pram hood".
I think if my seals were repositioned further back, it would be more weatherproof.
To be fair, it only leaks when it rains biggrin

This is mine. It looks like the frame is way too high, but if I move it down the 3/4" or so needed, the screw holes will not line up on the flat plate in the door jamb. If I lower the window before closing, I think that might work OK. Glenrobbo and I seem to have very similar situations here.

I have the same issue on drivers side. After days trying to figure it out I came up with a cunning plan, and looked at the passenger side which works fine.

I think the answer is that the seal is the "pigtailed girl" but has been glued together all the way along between two of the faces. On the drivers side this has come away and hence the bad fit. I m stuck in the Deep South at the minute but will try and photo later this week.
