Norfolk TT - Spring Run Out?
Discussion
So where is this "Norfolk" place anyway Steve?
Is it the bit on my road atlas where it says" 'ERE BE DRAGONS BOY"?
I have Norfolk N idea where the TT route goes, & I'm not really a TT type of bloke.
Just give me the postcode of the lunchtime pub & I'll try to get *Allan Smethurst's voice on my satnav.
NB.This post may not be entirely serious
Hev yew gotta loight boy?

- For those too young to remember or those who are old & forgetful, he was The Singing Postman. From Norfolk. I think.

Glen, from you its best to just keep driving east until you reach the sea then turn right..... ,!
Ok Mike, thanks for the navigation advice.I've checked on my Atlas & plotted the route.
So it's head east to 1 mile south of Mablethorpe, turn right onto the beach, then head south until the sands run out at Gibraltar Point, then straight across the Wash.
I take it that the Wash is easily fordable, wouldn't want to lose my crown jewels.
Ok Steve,
I've found an unabridged atlas with Norfolk in it, so I've made a nice handy quick reference route plan to help find all the cement works.
Hope the sheet doesn't blow away at speed.
One question: Are we doing a clockwise lap of the course?
And another question: Where will we be stopping for lunch & should we pre-book? Will it be the Bridge at Acle as you mentioned?
Re: Air pollution. - Lots of Saharan sand & toxic stuff from France here oop norf at the mo. What's it like down there? Will I need my full NBC protection suit? Or will the orange balaclava be sufficient?
It's ironic that Austin is covered in sand when he prefers cement dust innit.

Glen, hope you'll be pleased to learn there is a Cemex depot in Thetford which is only about 5 miles from our meeting point in Lynford? Not sure that they do tours though. you boys sorted your lunch yet?
New Pub at Elveden is pretty good, owned by Elveden Estate so plenty of good food on the menu
Hmmm, last time I went (few months ago) have to say food was no more than average; service was good though.Suppose like all things, you can't judge these things on just 1 go. New Pub at Elveden is pretty good, owned by Elveden Estate so plenty of good food on the menu
Happy to go anywhere, just let us know so booking can be sorted: most places are really busy Sunday Lunch more so if the weather holds up, though the forecast isn't looking too brilliant. Hopefully this will change by then

Steve, Gents,
I am afraid I am now touch and go for this.
The good news is my car flew through the mot.
The bad news is Scole have found I need a new brake cylinder, new swirl pot and a few other minor jobs.
Parts are on order but unlikely to be ready for Sunday.
I am gutted not to make this and I hope it's all sorted for Burghley
Thanks Gary
