Good man Graham - minimum numbers secured. 2 more keeps cost down for all.

Insurance wise I'd check with your insurer - some/many have owners club track days included (mine does with RH).

It's a none competitive un-timed event which should also help.

The only other MUST to attend is TVRCC membership. I've updated the thread on the TVRCC forums too.

Will be staying at Mums to break it up, so will have to meet up and drive up from Redditch together, are you staying near circuit night before or getting up early? Will be seeing you before then on the Euro Tour anyway!

At the moment plan is a nice early start and wizz up on Monday morning to warm the car up, but if "everyone" else is doing hotel it would be rude not to be sociable ( do I want a thick head for my first track day? ) smile

There seemed to be a lot more interest last yr to make me commit to setting this up:

Come on guys let's get this on - 6 to 8 of us should be easy enough to round up? I won't be able to hold the provisional booking too long.

Afterwards, please don't post any comments here about how good the day was and definitely no photos of you enjoying yourselves wink

Well done simon - it's a great intro to track days IMHO

Longers - can't guarantee media blackout ;-)

We can sort logistics nearer the time but there'll be no thick heads but a nice curry the night before would be a sociable thing to do. Check out Travelodge nearby at Blyth notts.

I will post payment details in due course.

Thanks everyone for signing up.

Anyone else interested I'll run a reserve list in case of any drop outs.

Well done Max.
May I propose as 1st Reserve:

Mrs. Wigglesworth - Nissan Note - on Avon Racing slicks ?

I reckon you'd have trouble matching her pace ( until her tyres go off ) wink

I came soooooo close to putting my name down for this but I would have missed Monday Club frown
Have a great time lads driving

biggrin OK Max, but can I use your S ?
I know it's the wrong colour, but I'd be prepared to put up with it for half a day. wink

Seriously, where are all the bravehearts that were clamouring to do this when you first proposed the idea?
There was enough of a response to warrant 3 trackdays..... confused

I think I'm the only one not on the list, although I don't have an S.

I guess Max didn't take "I'm half tempted (if I get an S)" as a firm commitment?

Does it have to ba an S?

To be honest, I'm half tempted (if I get an S) as it's not a huge amount of money and it would be nice to have the track to myself smile
The idea was for an S event as other broad-brush events already exist - and interest last year suggested 6 or 8 cars wouldn't be a problem ....... but at this rate, I reckon I'll be taking non-TVR's!!!
Apologies - my response wasn't overtly (maybe even remotely) clear but was trying to say that the aim was an S event but would consider other machines if numbers weren't reached.

2nd reserve in case anyone drops out?

Don't worry, nothing taken to heart.

Blyton is a cracking track but a 400-mile round trip for 15-laps (or to watch) is not enough 'value' for me.

Going to Oulton Park on the 28th of Feb for an open pitlane day. I think the next one we're going to try is Rockingham.

I do have an eye on an S at the moment but a, I have to find out how much I've over saved for my tax bill this year and b, I don't think I'd be popular on here with what I'd do to her! biggrin

Fair play, have a good track session thumbup

As for ( b ), We're a very broad-minded bunch on here, an S is still an S even after radical mods like Alan W's awesome Twin turbo Lexus V8 Auto S1 project, or Duncan Pittaway's very successful Hill climb S with 12" ground clearance.

As long as it is used for pleasure ( Stop sniggering at the back there ! nono ) it's ok by us, eh lads?

Just don't dismantle it if it can possibly be saved for the future.

Good luck with the taxman, hope you find your S. smile
