Right, update as I appreciate it's been quiet on this thread.

I have spoken to Blyton today and confirmed the bookiing - awaiting paperwork/contract but no issues envisaged there. I need to get the contract reviewed and signed by a TVRCC club official which agina should be a formality too.

I made some enquiries about group bookings at the local hotels in Blyth but only 1 responded. I picked Blyth because it's got a damn good Indian and is only a few miles from my house wink

Personally from a security perspective, I'd avoid the Travelodge at the A1 Blyth services. Happy to trawl the hotels again to see nearer the time to see if I can get a deal on some rooms, single or twin up to keep costs down. Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks for the update Max, it's appreciated.

Hotel: I'm happy to share a twin, not too keen on sharing a double, & definitely won't share my curry. nono

Hi Max,

After a beer and curry evening, I think I would prefer a single room!

How about Best Western Charnwood? They have several twins and doubles for £39 per ROOM at the moment.

Bump!

Hi Max,
Is everything still 'on track' wink for this event?

I'm asking because my insurance is due for renewal quite soon, and it looks like I may have to switch providers to get trackday cover.

I've also got myself a nice shiney helmet for the occasion nono don't go there!

Any views / recommendations on hotel choice yet?

Looking forward to the rogan josh yum

All good for the event - noise shouldn't be an issue, it wasn't last time I was there.

Hotel wise I'll do se digging.

Also, just a reminder that this is an official TVRCC event so EVERYONE participating (driving) will need to be a current TVRCC member - if you're not please make sure you are by the event.

It wouldn't be fair on other participants if the minimum numbers aren't available on the day.

Thank you.

Hi Max,

Now I'm TVR-less, I'll have to withdraw - sorry. Hopefully one of your 'reserves' will step forward.

Have fun,
Graham

Just remember Glen, this isn't an "Autocross" style track day... the idea is to drive on the black bit not the green stuff! smile
Ha ha!
Just looking back through this thread & had to allow myself a little chuckle at this one Mike wink

( Mind you, I did outbrake myself at 'the Wiggler' and collected a small cone.
But no pretzels! biggrin )
