Hi Max,

Spoke to Rich (Kitchski) today.

Rather than posting his bits I'll grab them from you at Burghley if that's ok & drop them in to him as he's only just up the road from me.

Only 1 week to go! bounce

Do they need painting? or can I leave mine as per photo?

Sorry, long time since I did metallurgy at college.

No idea - I'll ask on collection. Maybe a clear coat Matt varnish might look good and seal as required instead of painting; I'll check that out too when I get there.

EN19t contains a small amount of Chromium (1% ish)and a few other things so will have some resistance to corrosion but ideally will need painting, plating, coating..... or constant polishing smile

Right then, mounts collected and they look ace :-)

They have been zinc coated so are nice and shiny and don't need painting as they're not exposed to the elements.

You can paint them if you wish but do not rub them down as the zinc and paint will give double protection.

Don't think I'll be painting mine personally but could always do them later if I change my mind.

I'm off to wash and polish the S now for Sunday.

See you at Burghley for those going :-)

Sorry guys - when I've fitted my mounts this evening the bolts have proven too short.

I phoned my mate to see if he had some 1 1/2" x 7/16 UNF to swap tonight but alas he hasn't.

So those collecting from Burghley have a choice of getting their own bolts or waiting for the correct length and I can post them out later.

Those of you not at Burghley and wanting bolts I'll get them replaced and send out with the mounts.

Sorry again,

Max

Max. No problem it was good of you to organise this in the first place. Might be struggling tomorrow anyway. Got car problem. Nothing serious but if I don't make it I'll email you my address and pay for p&p .

Most deliveries made today, but think I may have missed a couple.

I'll update the list tomorrow and order the correct bolts too - keep your eyes peeled for updates.

Ordered new bolts and collect tomorrow hopefully. I've ordered hex head bolts and will try them out before confirming costs etc . Will then calculate full P&P for mounts and bolts etc. tomorrow too.

Thanks all for your patience.

The saga continues ........ went to collect the new bolts but the non threaded part doesn't go through as the hole is metric, so now getting some cap screws again in the right length.

We'll get there eventually - apologies again for this dragging more; and thanks for your patience.

UPDATE.

Finally got the right cap screws and fitted mine tonight:

So, over the next few days (I've a bit of a family issue to manage alongside this so bear with me) I'll package things up and calculate p&p costs. I'll update the thread in due course.

Nearly there. smile
