Does anybody know before I start ringing various TVR part suppliers if you can still buy these wheel centres for the OZ wheels.

Thanks in advance.

Are yours missing or just "tatty" few "tabs" broken off?

S3c ... so I guess Oz eight spokes?

Tried to get some centres last year as I only had 2 tatty ones. Eventually scrounged 2 even more tatty ones as the only new ones I found were a stupid price. Bought some self adhesive badges off eBay for a tenner to tidy them up and stuck them in with silicon. The size is fairly unique as I could not find any other centres that fit?

I was having the wheels balanced today when an over enthusiastic tyre fitted knocked them out & broke the tabs. However I've seen some blank caps for OZ wheels ON E-BAY & I'll get some TVR stickers to bond to them. Thanks for replies.

Trouble is a lot of caps knock outwards, the OZ ones knock inwards, if you try and knock them outwards the tabs break.
They will still glue in with clear silicone even without the tabs.

Years ago I made some alloy wheel centre caps from aerosol can plastic tops & bought some stick-on gel logo badges from an accessory shop.
They were for a Capri. Worked well & looked the part, better than just an empty centre hole.

The model number for the centre cap is printed on the inside, its something similar to M514 or M057 but I really cant remember of the top of my head. This is for a generic centre cap. Even these are really quite rare themselves. You may be able to find them with different logos on the middle, these can then be removed and replaced with correct TVR gel stickers. A bit of filling may be required to get a perfext bonding surface. You may have some luck on ebay.com instead as there may be some lying around in the states, I had a set posted from california to replace the ones on my car. Unfortunately I think I misplaced them during a house move as I tried to find them for the model number but couldn't. Think in cost around £35 including postage a couple of years back.

good luck with the search, they are out there.

ps, with 3d scanning and printing, these would be easy to replicate exactly. Now, who knows where we would be able to find someone willing to do so and if there is a big enough demand for them?

I was recently looking for 2 M-057 center caps (50mm). Hexham Horseless carriages had somehow found 2 decent ones to send with the new alloys I bought from them - I didn't realise how hard they were to come by, so thanks a mil for finding those two lads.

Couldn't find any online so duplicated them using:
.. 1 empty 500ml yoghurt container (cut bottom 1/2 off yoghurt container, place good center cap face down on lid and seat top of yoghurt container over it), mix and pour in addition curing silicone liquid a + b, wait until set and remove good center cap leaving an impression behind, mix and pour in autocure acrylic resin (powder and liquid), smooth top flat with sandpaper and cover with some stickers from eBay.

I'll post some pictures when I can - they look good! I should probably put some acrylic over the top of the stickers to make them longer lasting, but I can always get more stickers and do this next time.

Hope that helps

Isn't this exactly what TVRCC should be doing? There's lots of little plastic bits and bobs across the whole model range which are no longer available.

For the badge I went with black anodized aluminium discs, which I laser engraved with the TVR logo and sprayed with lacquer, these have now lasted 2 winters and several thousand miles and no sign of any deterioration.

Apologies for re-opening an old thread, but I wish I'd found this before going for new tyres today banghead

I decided to treat myself to 4 new tyres today and the tyres fitters had a real problem getting the centre caps out - now I know why!

A couple of them now have broken tabs so will now have to find a way to secure them again grumpy
