Cadwell Park Track Day - 22 April 2014
Discussion
As per my other thread here are some photos from first thing this morning. It was wet and slippy. Lots of fun though and the new front brakes were a touch grabby in the wet.
Great track, tight, but great.
When I returned to the track for the last hour of the day, it was dry and sunny so off came the roof which made things even better.

Thanks Longers,
I saw it advertised in Sprint, but having never seen what the circuit was like, it didn't really seem wise to commit to the event before my daughter's wedding in July.
I have bought a new helmet ( no, not for the wedding ) but I'm not allowed to test it in anger yet
I think Blyton Park in Sep for my first foray, then hopefully Cadwell next year is the best way forward.
Besides, I want Austin in one piece for the Eurotour.
Slightly O/T ( or is that OTT? ), I've heard that it's not advisable to spray paint crash helmets because the solvents can react with the shell.
Is this true?, because I really fancied a nice sober & restrained Day-Glo Orange & metallic purple paint job. All done in the best possible taste of course.
I think it would help to attract future sponsorship from other than "wonger.com".
Oooops! Edited to eradicate unintentional hyperlink to a not very desirable website for the impecunious. Don't go there folks!
I reckon the Mods love the S Forum because we are largely self-policing & very well-behaved

Glen,
You'll be pleased to hear that the 6-year old P6000 lasted very well. Although, there are actually Kumho's fitted to the rear!
They got nice, warm and squirmy during the last hour.
Good show Stewart, proper rrackday tyres then You'll be pleased to hear that the 6-year old P6000 lasted very well. Although, there are actually Kumho's fitted to the rear!

My son has ditched ( NOT literally ) his set of Oulton slicks &
treated himself to a new set of wheels & Toyo Proxes.
I told him to try not to turn them into slicks in one morning, but I feel my advice may have fallen on deaf ears. He seems to have developed this trackday bug ........
Don't tell his mother
