Lovely wheels Joe. I'll be interested to see what they look like on the car. Have you had them sprayed in body colour?

The S is a difficult car to fit alternate wheels on. Nothing looks quite as right as the 8 spoke OZ's IMO. But they are a PITA to keep in good order.

no, it’s a “black chrome” powder chrome finish ie a dusting of silver over gloss black. I think they might be a bit on the dark side but because it’s a two stage finish, which depends on what the sprayer thinks you want, it’s quite difficult to be specific about what you’ll end up with. I’ve yet to put them in direct sunlight next to the car so the cosmetic jury is still out. Anyway, I had them done for practical purposes (these are the “go wheels”) to conserve my lovely 8-spokes, (the “show wheels”). Only 5 weeks and 3 days to go now woohoo

So my mate had a set of Chimera Imolas in the garage next door that he offered me so had a quick play with them to see how they would work on my S. Just to confirm what others above had said, 15 inches go straight on all around without any spacer or anything (205/60/R15). The 205/50/R16s rub on the trailing arm with a 5mm spacer but would work nicely with a 15 mm spacer (and with some longer studs).
I'm not in the mood to change the studs etc so gonna hold out for some Oz 8 spokes to come up at a favourable price...

It was a very wet Shuttleworth in 2010.

So here’s another option then. These are my “Euro Wheels” ie the ones I’m going to have booted up for the Euro Tour so I don’t have to fret about my oh-so-pretty but delicate OZ 8-spokes (IMHO).

Now you won’t see me in the car park washing my wheels as soon as I pull up this year. Well, maybe not. biggrin

For anyone wanting to stick with the traditional wheels I've a set of 7x15 et 29 Oz wheels which are now surplus to requirements following the sale of my S1 which is now in Bavaria.
