Chris not sure I understand, what is a risk ?? why would HT bolts be a risk they are tougher not more brittle.

12.9 is the correct specification.

The ref to 18.9 above was simply a mistake, as far as I am aware 18.9 does not exist as a steel grade.

Hi Richard I agree remembered my old post and the comment about using the right High Tensile bolts and agree with what you have said. Thanks for the info and link which also points out where to get the plates from too smile
