Just to let you know Longers has been doing some research into next years possible route on his bike and completed possibly the worst stage of the Tour de France over the Col du Tormalet in just over 8 hours!

Congratulations for a totally gutsy ride.

If you want to see what he has been up to this years quest for the yellow jersey will cover the same route on Thursday the 24th :-)

Top fellow, I get worn out just watching them go up the cols on TV! Total admiration for anybody prepared to do this voluntarily.bow

Thanks guys thumbup

Riding the 92.13 miles was the easy part. Climbing the Tourmalet and the Hautacam were the challenging bits - total altitude gained = 11,342ft yikes

Ian

A fabulous effort and you should be justifiably proud.

However, if you could plan next years Euro Tour on the basis that we will be driving TVRs, rather than riding bicycles, I would be obliged. I do not think that the GTS would be in any fit state for peddling that sort of distance.

Cheers and best regards
Tony
