Heater Blower

Hi
My 1991 V8S heater blower isnt working. When I switch it on it draws loads of amps but doesnt go round. My thoughts are that the motor is siezed or the fan is jammed in the housing. Has anyone had this problem and did you solve it?

Most likely the motor has siezed, a drop of oil on the bronze bearings and some twisting will probably free it off but it's a pain to get at!

Some light reading here. Dont know weather you can free it up without removal. I think you can just about get to the heater box inlet where the fan is if you remove the centre console, might be enough access just to shove it raound a bit.

Blimey I remember doing that. On the S2 you had to take the whole dash out. I don't know if you could get away with just removing the centre console (as Rob suggests) on an S3 or later.
