How does that work then? Have you changed the pivot point?

I can't get the original stay on mine without the nose hitting the floor.

Come on then chaps, no secrets here! Lets have some pics and explanations of yer supa dupa openny thingamy bobs. (real words and spelling?)
Seriously, the openning of both cars looks like a vast improvement and something that has been on my mind as I ever so slowly wind my way closer to reassembly.
So please share the magic.

Cheers,
Carl.

I'm guessing some cutting away of the fibreglass under skirty thingy is required to miss the new pivots.
Rob.

Yeah I had also thought that would likely be rquired.

Around 10 years ago I had an E30 BMW, I have been thinking about the hinge and catch setup from one of those as when you pull the release the bonnet pops up and forward before opening.
Just haven't tripped over one yet to have a play with.

That's a thought, we just happen to have one at the moment that we're preparing for rallying, I'll take a closer look.

The finished article will not open quite as far. With the gas struts on it opens about 10 degrees less
