Clutch Slave/Master cylinder
Discussion
Hi All
My clutch master cylinder is empty of fluid and pedal flaps about......
It's done this for a while so I suspect a leak. I might as well replace both while I'm at it.
Am I correct in saying that the Landrover 90/110 bits are a good replacement?
Is it an easy fix for an amateur spanner monkey?
What about different size pipe fitting? Could I buy a made up flexi pipe to join the two?
Many thanks
Tim

Enter "S Series clutch slave cyl" for example, and an amazing amount of wisdom will be revealed. This is a very common well-worn topic.
Yes, the Landie parts are the most common replacements, although it is said that some aftermarket slave cyls require a little bit of grinding to fit.
It's a good idea to change both master & slave and the pipe at the same time, then you won't have to faff about with different pipes in the future.
Yes, you can get a braided hose or pipe made up with the new end fittings. Prob the right-angled ended ones are neatest.
See previous threads.
Yes, it's quote* a straightforward job. The bleeding will need an assistant ( or a brake bleeding kit ).
Just don't drop any bits inside the bellhousing.
HTH,
Glen
