Watched it again last night, though I was starting to get a bit peed off with all the constant jibes about poor reliability. I hardly see that a leaking radiator and a rusted servo amounts to poor reliability. The items Ed sorted would be considered as consumables on any other car they had worked on, but the impression they gave was that poor reliability was the root cause.

Whoa! Are you licenced to use common sense in public Paul? I thought you had to earn a badge first or something hehe

Sorry Rich, I have been practicing common sense and felt I was ready to try it out in a public forum.

Hi All.
Did you see when he was testing the front suspension and ball joints? You could see they had already changed the discs and callipers, you would have thought they would have done that the same time, why put the wheel back on only to take it off again.
Must have been a good car to start with as all they did is what you would expect from any car that year, electrics only a couple of things, not bad for a old TVR.

The new discs were supposedly supplied as spares with the car, so were not included in the spend. They probably put the wheels back in to free up the ramp between filming takes, so that Paul could continue using his garage to earn a crust.

But where is that S2 now???

It's on SORN.

It had no MoT from Dec 2012 until June 2014.

Then it was passed with advisories:

Nearside Front suspension has slight play in a upper suspension ball joint (2.5.B.1a)
Offside Front suspension has slight play in a upper suspension ball joint (2.5.B.1a)

Passed MoT in May 2015 with advisory of an oil leak. Expires 04/06/2016.
