I have had all four callipers rebuilt by them a couple of years ago with the polymer coating. Still look like new. Price wasn't cheap, but the turnaround and service was good and quick. Would highly recommend thumbup

Good turn-around but standard electroplate finish was poor. The calipers started to rust when they were still inside the plastic bag and stored indoors! If you're not having one of their coloured finishes you'll need to paint them pretty quick when you get them back.

Well thats a bummer, they don't do VX220 calipers so it's back to the drawing board.

I've always had great rapport & service from Bigg Red. I ask if they can reconn 'my' units if they are in known good condition, but just seized through standing.... And I go for s/steel pistons on M16 calipers.

Alan - have you asked them? they told me they would do pretty much anything you could send to them. Whats special about vx220's?

Hi Spoke to them and they don't do them, they don't have the tooling but found a company who will recondition mine with a 1 week turn around. Don't know what's so special about these, they are the same as the Lotus Elise and Exige.

Know the Vx220 calipers don't look to be anything special, still found a place to do them, boxed up ready to post at work today, costing £82 each to rebuild and paint, don't have a choice of colour so have put some black cans in for them.
