All this arguing is pointless. We all know the best colour is Charcoal Grey.

The blue is nearly as good, I'll grant you that. But you have to drive all the way to Guernsey to get it rolleyes

I might be selling the S to fund the Vulcan plan!

Interesting that both are Scottish registrations, Stranraer and Dundee. As your your new one is a monster the number plate is appropriate!
Cheers

Steve, that's a great photo. Well two great photo's !

How different does the V8 feel to the V6 ? I've never driven a V8 S so I'd love to know what you think.

V8S is much lazier a way to go quickly...and is very much more planted. This may be due to the Nitrons, different chassis and 55 profile tyres though. It doesn't need revs like like the cologne machine

I think that this is one of the better colours, maybe except for red?

I had an old 3000S in red that was superb, that said this colour looks classy IMO.

Will be putting it back on the road in April after the holiday season so looking forward to hearing the beast in action again.

No argument that green is the best, but which green? Mine is currently BRG with doeskin interior.I have been promising 'her' a respray for some time. 'She' will stay green but I cannot vmake up my mind. The Cooper green does look good, in a mild metallic finish. I also rather like the Jaguar aquamarine used on the XK8.

Not sure what green mine is. Handbook says brg bt reckon someones resprayed bits in brookland and other bits british racing green. I think i prefer the brooklands as uts the darker of the two and almost black in some lighting

Just re-found this thread. Who still owns their S’, lots of familiar names around. Quite how many still use PH as much as they used to now Facebook has taken over the chit chat?

Still have mine and love it to bits, 9 years in, three house moves and no intention to ever sell. So many smiles per pound.

11 years and not going anywhere and that's not just because it's in bits at the moment smile

Sometimes it's days here before someone posts anything tumbleweed but I can't get on with Facebook at all so I keep lurking on Pistonheads frown
