14 years, 8 EuroTours, many, many 000's miles. It's still dark metallic grey with red leather and that's still the best colour combination biggrin

Facebook is for chit-chat, the serious stuff is still on here thumbup

Will never do Facebook. Don’t trust those people and Cambridge analytica proved that fear. Employers go through Facebook too. Would rather they knew as little as possible quite frankly

There is a lot of good technical information on this forum that you can find if you try hard enough. You can't find anything on facebook even if it was posted a couple of days ago. Forms are much more useful, facebook is for rubbish chat.

Happy to see lots of us still here. It is quieter than it was 10 years ago. I use both here and Facebook. As others have said, all the old information is findable, even with a bad search! Something that’s impossible with Facebook. I guess it’s taken away the chit chat and left the more serious bits here. I don’t check here as regularly as I used to though, but will be on at least every week. I can’t remember the last time I posted on the s series forum (apart from my last wink), it used to be a lot more frequent! Still enjoy reading what’s on here though. Car is behaving itself well and don’t have any questions needing answered either kinda helps!

Sorry, but that simply isn't true. The search on Facebook is now better than the one on here!

Google search on PistonHeads never misses. Try:

TVR S Series wide open bonnet sitetongue outistonheads.com

It becomes second nature after a while.

I fully agree with NZDave. For me, a forum is a participative encyclopedia. For 90% of my questions, I find the reply here alone, in topics written 10 years ago, sometime older. Facebook is used to show your life... and has replace the old "Mailing list" concept, but it don't replace a good forum... I'm pretty sure that Facebook will disappear soon (before10 years).... and PH will continue.

Looks brilliant in the sunshine!

Especially like the gleam on the wheels. Do you mind telling me what the finish is? I have a spare set of OZ eight spokes that need to be refurbished and I can't decide what to go for but having seen yours I think I know what type of look I'm leaning towards.

Apologies for going off topic!

I have had my S3 17 years and been a Pistonheads member since early 2000s when it was mostly a TVR forum. This resource is a total gold mine. There is no way I could have done all the work on my S3 without the knowledge available here. That said, recently for the first time in those 17 years I've considered selling the S3 but I just don't seem able to post that ad..!!!

Oh, it's cooper green metallic by the way.

Mine here is "burgundy pearl" with light grey interior piped burgundy. It looks much nicer in the sun, almost ruby, but goes a little brownish-purple on a dull day.
