End of the story, the end of my shaft was totally worn out, so ask a workshop to make a new thread, 1 size smaller.

I am not very confident about reducing the size of this part, any thoughts ?

Michael,
Please don't do that!

Just go back to your other topic and contact Richard ( Kitchski ) who has told you he has a spare hub shaft available. Click on his name to bring up his profile page, then click on 'email me' to contact him.

Edit: Or contact him via www.southwaysautomotive.co.uk
I think he understands French if that helps.

Purchase this hub shaft from him, and a new nut to suit the thread and then ask your workshop to fit it for you
I am sure that would be the safestand in the long term the cheapest option for you, because it needs a bearing press and special knowledge and skills to do the job properly.
You really don't want to cause any more damage, do you?

I give you full marks for trying, bur it seems that car mechanics is not your forte.

I've got a pair of used shafts, and one drive spindle, but can't remember which side it is.
Did you contact Kitchski who offered you a good second hand one?
