Hi All
Have a leaking Leda coil over damper, any recommendations for getting it fixed? Leda want £100, seems a bit steep.

Cheers
Dave

It all depends on what Leda include in their quote:

If it's a full strip, replace all moving parts, seals & bushes, finish paint, rebuild & test, then it seems reasonable.
If it just covers replacing the leaking seals, then yes, it sounds a bit pricey.

Whatever you decide, I would recommend getting the one on the other side done as well, i.e. do them in pairs to maintain equal performance.

Sensible suggestion and might not be double for a pair - if that makes sense.

Hello

Leda eh very nice.. Given their price new that seems reasonable for a rebuild but as said check what a rebuild consists of..

It includes
"This includes dyno testing and all service items such as seals and oil etc.".

So basically, chance the seals, fill up with oil and test.

Anyone know another service agent?

This guy is listed by Koni as one of their refurbishment workshops.

Shaun Pickering SP Suspension 07811 108123

He did mine earlier in the year and I was quite happy with his service. Might be worth a call as one coil over is going to be pretty much like another, and mine were a lot cheaper than what you have been quoted.

I too can recommend Shaun...he did my Vixen's Koni 8212-1121, 10" alloy shocks, and imported parts from across the pond to do it...if the guy will work on your Leda's (I also have Leda on my Taimar Turbo so it would be good to know too) he is very good.
