Another knackered part on my S1!

The air intake boot is badly split, I've bodge repaired it but needs replacing...anyone got one in decent shape hanging about?

long shot I know.

I'm also going to need a new windscreen- delaminated
Front end re-spray.....crazing to bonnet
Drivers Seat repair

New hood too but I bought a new one from Lakewell a few weeks back....still need to fit. Anyone done this recently?

By "boot", do you mean the trunking/ flexi hose to the throttle intake?
I got a metre of twin wall silicon wire spiral reinforced hose from ASH ( auto silicon hoses ) which does the job nicely. It's blue on the outside, orange inside.

Hi Glen,

No the rubber boot on the top of the airbox/filter side that the flexi is attached to.

I afraid that isnt going to be easy. My understanding is that it is a Bosch rather than a Ford part. I think it is called the K Jetronic air meter outlet. I haven't seen one on ebay for a bit, except as part of an engine. Several classic Fords use the Cologne Injection so might be worth a ring round. One company specialising in K Jet systems, who might have one is Retrofit Engineering Solutions, contacts below

Hi Phil,
Do you mean this little monkey?

I can't make any promises, but if that's the item, I'll have a look for one on Saturday, when I pick up some other bits. I've added it to my list.

I found something familiar about your thread !

Try Martin at Capri Gear - he's a smart guy and if he hasn't got one he'll probably know who has.
