This morning was beautiful weather-wise. This global warming is ace.
I happened to be driving on t'Devil's Road , the A666.
In the Mondeo
Wishing I was in the S.
Off to Yorkshire tomorrow, in the Mondeo again I think, to pick up some bits, not enough room in Austin.
If it's raining I won't feel so bad.

Didn't know you'd landed a reps job Gelnn. Is yours the 2.0 lx se leather abs Sri Mondeo? Or is the boot a standard size?
Hi Steve, No, I don't know of any company that would have me as a rep! Unless it entailed selling buckets for people to kick
The Mondeo is a very old & battered 2.0 16v Ghia X Auto Mk 2 off-roader, with a very nice leather interior & all the bells & whistles, but a very tatty exterior. I am very pleased with the fact that there are no wrinkles in the mandatory gaffer tape. In my view, that would be a sign of bad workmanship.
It sort of came to me by accident and will probably go by the same way, but it seems to be 'The Mondeo That Will Not Die'. ( Do you remember the film "Christine" ? )
I love it so much I covered 1500 miles in it between MOT's this year compared to only 8000 in Austin.
Mind how you go, and watch out for those hills down there.
Gelnn.

I did'n't realise such a gem was so close. Will be along that way in the next week or so, I will check it out, thanks for the heads up. Not the same without the TVR though.
Well Mike, there you go you see It did come as a bit of a shock to me when you revealed you'd sold it.
Have you told the the new owner to introduce theirself on here?
It was a shock to me, a moment of weakness and the deal was done.
New owner, as in the chap I bought it off, 3 years ago, is aware of this site, for info and has visited but didn't seem to to be interested in joining. He may at a later date though if he needs anything.
Sitting at my desk now, looking out at a clear dry, if a little windy day thinking about the roar and the experiences...............
I may be back, very busy at work and home at the moment, so not researched a replacement just yet, daily driver is 2 years older now so gotta change that first.

I may have to put an S on my Christmas list..... SHMBO can be very generous if I keep in her good books... I am taking her away on holiday next month to her favourite place, so working on it. Probably better to aim for an S3 with the longer doors ........ then as I get less agile I can still get in ok. !!
