Wellesbourne Sunday Breakfast

ooh that looked a good stopping off point en-route to the NEC, but they don't open until 9:00
ETA there appears to be one Mr Glenrobbo that has given it his seal of approval on I fancy a fry up

Possibly in the Toyota!
Oh come on now Chris, that's just taking things a bit too far Did you do any donuts on the test drive? Heart attack on a plate? I could be tempted, I must check my diary to see if I can fit it in.
Hopefully now that Halloween has passed, the Wicked Witch of Wellesbourne won't be waiting in the wings with withering words for the unwary.
Well, I've checked my diary and so far, I am free on that date, so unless the weather forecast is diabolicackle, I'll be there.
Interestingly, my diary says that day happens to be St. Andrew's Day, which puts me in mind of another excellent airfield venue for a nice brekkie over near Barry's:
Andrews Field, near Gt. Saling, Braintree, Essex CM6 3TH ( just a few miles east of Stansted )
It was an American bomber base in WW II. Interesting bit of history on it if you google it, especially about what happened to a squadron of B-26 Marauders on a raid over Nazi-occupied Holland.
It's now a grass airfield for private light aircraft, much like Wellesbourne Mountford.
They do a lovely fry-up at a reasonable price in the clubhouse/ cafe, and there are some interesting little local roads for a nice run out as well, some of which were resurfaced for the Tour de France masochists, to make it kinder on their testicycles.
Something to bear in mind for the future? The breakfast and run out I mean of course. Perhaps we could even tempt the Flatlanders down to join in the fun?
Top GearTVR could bring his bike on his bi-crack and follow us lot for a change

That looks interesting and not far from Wellesbourne. There is a Christmas Fair on there at the same time and it looks like some interesting stuff in the Museum:

I never have visited although it is in the next village to mine. I assume that we can just turn up on the day?
