Had mine on a restricted mileage classic car policy (like most I would guess) and never required further security. Is your not garaged and/or you live in a for the insurer "dodgy" postcode? I personally would find out the reasoning behind their insistence before having coughing up to have one one installed. And of course shop around.

Carl Baker fitted mine. I was assured if I wanted a fit and forget solution and not to have any further trouble then he was well worth the drive. True to form I've had no problem with it fitted. Taylor TVR are well worth a visit anyway.

I didn't hear that...they are unlikely to pay out if you tell them it was nicked when left un-locked with the roof off, etc....immobiliser or not.

...but don't be fraudulent either... wink
Hope my postcode is not on "the map" Car is now locked, roof on windows up!
