Stevsons Stainless Brake Hoses
Discussion
Evening all,
I've been in touch with Stevsons regarding supplying me with a set of stainless braided hoses with stainless fittings.
The four fronts to be replaced by two at 500mm length (excluding fittings) as advised with a rubber grommet to fit through the existing bracket on the callipers. Rears to be replaced as they are.
They won't give me a price until they have mine to copy but as a couple of others have expressed interest in my other thread I have enquired about the possibility of a group buy discount, obviously no one wants to commit without having a price but also Stevsons don't want to give a discounted price without knowing numbers involved.
If anyone's interested could they please let me know.
As with anything TVR, these will be modelled on my parts and I cannot guarantee direct replacement with yours, but I will ask them to confirm technical details beforehand.
Thanks
Lawrie

..I read somewhere on PHs that the S hoses were all metric except one end of the back hoses which were imperial (I think to match the existing drum connectors) - Some one may be able to confirm, but you may want to ask the hose guys to look out for, that as the are nearly the same size with only small differences, and may not get picked up if you don't know it is there...until trying to fit!!!

Flexi's should be all metric.Wheel cylinders in the drums are metric, I think some cars had an imperial T where the single pipe down from the master cylinder splits to each side so it would be a metal pipe with "odd" ends

Hi All,
I chose to go the make up your own, just got the stainless hose and all the fitting I needed, just put them together and away you go, easy just cut the hose and pop on the fitting, tighten up and done. Spent about £110 in total, bit of hose and a few fitting left but complete front to back all in stainless.

Can I ask what tools are needed for this? I've done a quick google, but everything seems to be american.I chose to go the make up your own, just got the stainless hose and all the fitting I needed, just put them together and away you go, easy just cut the hose and pop on the fitting, tighten up and done. I'm happy to have a go at making my own lines, but I'd like to think I was using quality bits/tools for my brakes!

any rally preparation company will help - either sell you the bits or tell you where to get them - I google and came up with Motorvation
