Ladies & Gents,

As some of you have seen in the TVRCC forum, Alan (Alan461) and Glen (Glenrobbo) have taken on the organisation of SCH2015. They deserve a big clapthumbup and bow

When Alan first responded to my request for someone I knew that his idea of Stoneleigh was a good one - it ticked so many boxes and a similar event was a very popular SCH venue when I helped run it way back in 2008. To combine it with a full weekend of other activities leading up to the main event on Monday is going above and beyond - 1 event / venue is all that was needed, offering 2 is spoiling people but 3.... well that sets up what should be a terrific weekend!

More recently Glen offered to help and between them I'm sure the weekend will be a success. My only problem with what they've arranged is I don't think I'll be able to make it frown Never mind, I am confident they and the event(s) will get the support they deserve from the S (and wider TVR) community.

I'm not sure where Glen has got to since posting the following details in the TVRCC forum (perhaps he's gone a bit shy or been abducted by Joe's alien friends?) but what follows is as much information as we have at the moment. Alan & Glen will add more information to this topic when they can.

I have been authorised by the Main Man behind the planning for SCH 2015 to release the official details to quell all unofficial rumours.

From now on, all future releases will be sanctioned by our Official Rumour Control Dept ( ORCD ).

The date will be Sunday 3rd & Monday 4th May 2015, with an optional extended period from Midday Sat 2nd to Midday Tues 5th May for those who wish to make a proper camping weekend of it.

The Venue is Stoneleigh Park, Royal Showground, Nr. Kenilworth, CV8 2LZ and SCH 2015 will be part of the National Kit Car Show, the World's largest show of it's kind, with loads to do and see.

Details of this can be found on http://www.nationalkitcarshow.co.uk

The location is pretty much geocentral in the Country so it gives the opportunity for most S owners to attend wherever they are located so we are expecting the biggest turnout for many years,

Early days as far as planning is concerned yet, but we plan to hold the main S Club Event on the Monday, which would give the option of attending Donington Historic on the Sat and possibly Stratford FoM on the Sunday, whilst maintaining a base at Stoneleigh. It happens to be within striking distance of both events.

On-site camping at a very reasonable price is available, facilities at the Show include toilets & showers and free entertainment on Sunday night with live music, sponsored by Complete Kit Car Magazine.

There may even be a bar!

We would like an idea of numbers interested in camping so that we could secure our own dedicated space, where we could perhaps hold a bit of a BBQ on Sunday before the entertainment. All TBN of course.

I think this Event should be a lot of fun for all, so put it in your diaries as a 'must do'

More details will be released as they become available.

And we may be asking for a little assistance nearer the date.

Hope to see you ALL there!

Alan461 & Glenrobbo

P.S. Of course we will welcome any TVR owner or enthusiast who wishes to come along.

So many great events happening over the summer in the TVR calendar , 1 or 2 of them are bound to clash weekends, the kitcar show at Stoneleigh Park sounds like a fantastic venue, but like most people I am unable to do both frown. Donington presented great value for money with reductions in ticket prices for car club members, will the kit car show be offering the reduced entry fees or a 2 for 1 tickets price like Donington? Also its clearly obvious that a TVR is not classed as a kit car so will a Trevor get in for free?

Yes, it's impossible to avoid a clash but I think Alan has come up with a great plan by giving the option to visit the other events but using Stoneleigh as a base for the w/end and the venue for the main event on Monday.

You are right that TVRs are not kit cars but because we will be part of the show Alan has secured a great deal from the organisers which means TVRs get the same deal as the kit cars i.e. FREE for the driver for day entrance and only £5 to camp! biggrin

Full details on the show website.

I’ve booked a twin room at the Stoneleigh Park Lodge for the Saturday night (no rooms left for Sunday). Does anyone want to share? It’s £90 for the room so that’s £45 each. No pets or snoring laugh

Checked with show orgaiser today to make sure there are no hidden costs with camping, passengers etc.
The price for camping covers admission cost on any day.
Passenger camping is £15, driver camping £5.
Daily prices non camping;
TVR passenger day ticket is £10, driver free of charge.
The event is priced in such a way to encourage camping. smile

Advance tickets are only availlable to book for non kit car punters,
It's free admission with a TVR.
You are going to bring your car, right?
