I am looking at crossings but have not found any amazing bargains. It looks like the ferry operators have adopted 'consistent market place pricing'

My thought is to go DFDS Dover to Calais on the afternoon of the 18th September. However,as is customary, Kevin and I will spend two extra days in France. Day+1 will be in Reims where we can visit the Cathedral and perhaps have some champagne house guided tours (this may not be in the correct order). Day +2 would be in Saint Omer as a base to visit the V2 sites ,as recommended by OldredV8S, and the nearby V3 sites. We would take Eurotunnel on the evening of Friday 25th and maybe miss the rush hour traffic on the M25. Eurotunnel timings would better for us and Kevin has nor travelled on the electric mole up to now.
