Just noticed that the odometer has finally decided its had enough.
34,354 miles for the last few days. Given that this is the third time round I'll consider it fair wear and tear biggrin

ISTR there was a company 'Speed' something? that could rebuild these?

Anyway the car is off to Southways in a month or so for a full body off restoration so I can try and get this done at the same time.

This lot I think but I haven't used them so hang about as there will be someone along shortly who has.

I seem to recall "speedy" is what they are not smile

Thats the one!
Be interested to hear of anyone who's used them or another company that can do it.

I too have heard the Speedy ones are not so speedy.

Others have used and recommended:

OP, if you're having a full body off, there may be just enough time for Speedy Cables to do their stuff.
I believe they do an excellent job.

Eventually. smile

P.S. That's a reasonable mileage for an S.
Should be nicely run in now. thumbup

If your S is all back together by September, you could come and play with us on our Tour de FranSe. Just listen out for us wink

Although Speedy Cables seem to have done a good job on speedos for 2 cars, I agree that they were anything other than speedy! I would like to hear reports on anybody else as 'speedy' almost held back one restoration.

There have been many posts on this and other forums that share the view that Speedy are anything other than speedy.

I used Speedy. Took a while but great job and they replaced the analogue odomoter with a very neat and discreet digital odometer:

Apologies for the absolutely awful photos! Hopefully they're good enough to give you an idea.

But that speedo is bigger than your seats Stuart!
And it's facing the wrong way!

Looks like they replaced the dash with the holographic HUD update too cool

Not sure they can do that digital odometer for an S1 as its a mechanical drive?
