Brave, very brave... I'd need a bit (lot) of dutch courage before doing that, then it would end up as a 'seemed like a good idea at the time' life lesson the next morning

Fearlessly executed job Barry bow

music
Bravely Bold Sir Barry
Resolved to fix his S
He was not afraid to chop
A hole for better access:
He was not afraid to cut
the bobbins from the hinge
Even though most onlookers
did quiver, shake and cringe.

He bravely took his door right off
Glassed new bobbins (what a toff)
Brave brave bravely bold Sir Barry

He put it back, it worked so well,
A first class job, it looks so swell
Brave brave bravely bold Sir Barry music

( sounds of coconut half shells
clip- clopping off into the distance......:. )

Credit where it's due.

As Barry has said, this open heart surgery job was pioneered by the once-great and revered S-man, Mr. Plow.

Sadly he has since changed his name to L.I.Am and defected to the Dark Side where he became their Chief Brake Torturer.

It's not nice.
I have heard them squealing as he metres out his cruel punishments frown

Barry,
Please will you let me know if they deliver my exhaust to you instead?
If they offer you some flat pack furniture, just sign for it, then you can hold it to ransome.
I see where I went wrong now, and I lost all my bartering power by not accepting that wardrobe. frown

Now I think I'm losing my meubles .......
