Thanks for the kind words.

This is the centre console with the dash insert installed.

I'm getting there slowly...

Is that burr walnut effect done with hydro-dipping, or is it the real thing?

It's hydro dipped. To be fair, a well done real veneer would probably look a bit 'richer' - if that makes sense. But I was quoted £360 for veneering and the dip was £120. So job done!

I have (at last) almost got the interior bolted together. It wasn't the pleasurable job I envisioned, but almost there anyway...!

Thanks - that is the plan.

It is now refusing to start, and I'm fully expecting to be chasing electrical faults for the next few weeks!

Well, after some messing about it seems the battery wasn't charged enough. This then meant the immobiliser wasn't seeing 12v and stopped everything working (disguising the low charge). Genius!

At least, I'm hoping that's it done...

That's a superb end result. clap

Always loved the 'old school' look of the interior of the S and even more so when it's as nice at that. Top job, well done.

Thanks all for the kind words. My plan now is to just drive it over the summer - no more 'little jobs' until next winter (although they're already lining up)...!
