The plans for our extension are almost finalised:

Monday 25th May, head for Brugge, stay overnight in hotel recommended by Tinks. ( For all we know, it could be a Mini caravan wink
Taxi into town to sample the delights of "the Venice of the North".
"I've never been there, but the brochure looks nice" - Allanis Morissett?

Tuesday 26th. nice leisurely breakfast, drive down to Ypres, visit the battle sites & cemeteries, ,explore the museums, attend the Menen Gate Last Post ceremony. Evening meal at a nice restaurant in the town, return to hotel for a nightcap.

Wed 27th. Another lovely breakfast, drive to our ferry / hole in the groundand return to dear old Blighty.

Anyone else fancy joining us?

Ferries.
I have booked my ferry crossings as per my ( on-topic ) post on Phillpot's Spa Ferry Crossings thread. wink

Thurs 21st May 2015 Outbound 14:45 Dover - Calais DFDS

Wed 27th May 2015 Return 12:00 noon Dunkirk - Dover DFDS

I booked mine through Directferries.com
I recommend you book your crossings before 28th Feb, before the prices increase by 20%.

Hotels.
I have booked and received confirmation, for Joe, Alan & me as follows:

Mon 25th May Leonardo Hotel Brugge, 1 night, B & B
( Thanks for the recommendation Tinks, at least I can shift the blame wink )

2 peeps in Twin room, £66 / €89.12
plus another twin or double ( single occupancy ) £59 / €80.10

I have paid for both these rooms when booking, not refundable.
So give me all your money guys!
Also payable is the "City tax" of €2.12 per person per night.

Tues 26th May Hotel Kasteelhof 'T Hooghe, near Ypres. 1 night B & B
Ideally situated for our requirements, Barry, Jo & I enjoyed our stay there last year.

Triple room, 3 single beds, earplugs not provided. sleepearssleep
£96 / €130. Also plus city tax.

Bill to be settled at the hotel at time of stay.

I used Booking.com It must be easy because even I managed it smile

I thought it would be nice to have evening meals whilst exploring the towns.

If anybody else would like to extend their Spa trip, and tag along with us, get booking soon, because there are only a few rooms left at the delightful Hotel Kasteelhof:
