"A reasonable balance between handling and some modicum of comfort"

Is that a vote for Protech over GGPro? I see Racetech has them for the same price

Simple answer is "I don't know"!

never had the luxury of back to back test session, I went for the Protech because they're alloy rather than steel.... and coz no one else has got 'em smile

I suspect there is not much between them or any of the other makes in that price bracket? TVR were never renowned for their excellent handling and the S with it's trailing arm set up was not their "finest hour". you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear as they say, even with the best shocks and springs money can buy (imho).

I need new springs/shocks to rear ( along with new bushes)
I've read this thread and the suspension wiki but am unsure of what I need. I can google AVO/GGpro/Protech etc but don't know what I'm looking for ( mines a 1990 S2)

The job is too big for me and I don't have time either. Garage suggest AVO but is this the best for me? ( never likely to be doing track days; just pootling about!)

Cheers

Tim

Personally for me Avo would be below ggp or ggn I not had any but have seen so e post install the examples I saw weren't right with regard to spring lengths etc could be better now.

Ggp are ok but don't last my springs were so bad I replaced the fronts after < 10k miles (3 years) the car seemed to handle ok though. They can squeek too. Although this has gone away at the moment.

Hence previous comment that I would elsewhere next time.

You can still get quality non adjustables iirc from koni or is it bilstein ?
