Hi All

Question to those who have re painted there cars, how far did you go inside the engine area, the area behind the engine. Spent 2 days sanding back to factory primer, removed 2 re sprays to get to factory paint, now back to primer, going to stone chip with black under the tub and up to the front area but not sure if I should go further with the sanding. Top coat will be Red so it's down to how far to do the red.

Alan

This is where I am as of tonight

Should I sand down to the red line and finish the red lower

Won't you be covering that area with heat-shield anyway?

Good point Joe, I was only going to put heatshield on the exhaust pockets but could do the back, so back to ebay for some more.

Do the whole area as far back as the gear stick hole.

Hi All
Think I am going to do the RED down to where it's primed and black stone chip from there.

Alan

Few bits to fill in, it's primed so a bit of Dolfin Glaze and a lot of hand sanding

Paint and then heat shield. I haven't used it my self but I've been told this type of product works well.
