Well, both are blue, but the one in the PH ad is a lighter shade, with original bunny ear mirrors, not the Citroen ones, has the S2 side decals and is located in Gloucs not Hainaut Belgium and is offered for sale by Chris not Geoffrey.

Looks like a nice example for those on here searching for one.
And it is the best color wink

You're right, mine is not standard, Mx5 side mirrors, Chimaera seats, 4 branch manifold (is this standard?), no more filler fuel in the bodywork and some device in the engine bay which looks like a bowl in which you put the diesel filter, strange on a petrol car, I'll post a picture tomorrow.

A 4 branch manifold on a V6? Sounds interesting wink

Perhaps it's a 2 litre Cossie 4 cyl?
Not sure about the diesel filter though confused Perhaps it's a remote oil filter for ease of servicing, like Phillpot's.

Mine has got two 2-branch exhaust manifolds. smile

Correction, there are 3 branches exhaust maniflold on each sides, I need glaces, don't I?
Here are the pictures:

As for the bordeau device which looks like a bottle, it is connected to the oil cap on one side and to nothing on the other side. Is it simply a breather.
Here is the photo.

Thanks for your help.

It's a breather catch tank, oil mist from the engine condenses in there rather than being recirculated back into the induction to be burnt.

Does this breather catch tank need to be emptied? If so, how is that done?

that little tube on the side is a "sight glass".

Mine has a lid you can unscrew, looks like you have to remove the top on yours but should take years to fill up.

Phillpot,

Thanks for the additional information.

As I know you're an expert in the S, could you please tell me how to change the water of the cooling system of my S2.
I'm sorry to bother you with this, but I haven't managed yet to get hold of a copy of the second edition of TVRs workshop manual.

Many thanks for your help.

Hardly!!!

just a bungling amateur who doesn't know how to give up smile

Anyway, until you can get hold of a bible ( not Bible ) this might help........

I very much doubt you'll have a drain tap, so it's as simple as pull the bottom hose off.

The book doesn't mention the air bleed on the top of the radiator, open this as you fill, close when you get a good stream of water coming out (not a bubbly mix of air and water)

Why are you draining? if it's because it full of 20 year old dirty brown gunge I'd refill with clean tap water, run for a few miles then drain again and refill with coolant/anti-freeze/corrosion inhibitor of your choice.

Depending "how far you want to go" it's not a bad idea to disconnect the heater hoses and flush through using the garden hose.

Just keep checking water level for a few days before you go out (engine old) in case any more air has found its way out.

Going back to breather catch tanks, here is mine ........

Hi TVRees,

Thanks for your message. The green TVR in the advert was already on sale last year. Mine is an S2, the interior is different.
As for Steve Health's bible, I can't get hold of an example.

Geoffrey

You should be able to purchase direct from Steve Heath Publications, or through Amazon?

Hi Geoffrey,
if you click on the blue text in my previous post, "S-bible", then this should take you to the internet page where you can buy the bible.
