Ford only had enough paint for 500 Capri Brooklands, and in fact built a total of 1038. In order to make the paint last, it had to be watered down, meaning that the last cars were much lighter than the first ones.
Is it still April Fool's Day? Ford never actually built any Capri Brooklands, they were all Capri 280s.
And hardly any were used in hill-climb trials.
I call "fibber" on the paint, Ford could easily have had a new batch of paint mixed.
Unless TVR kept nicking their stocks to paint Andy's S....
