Hello,

I've seen lots of sites proposing covers for our cars.

Does somebody have one fair priced and good quality to advice ?

thanks

Do you want an outdoor weatherproof cover or a dustcover for in the garage?

My S1 lives outside and I have tried many different covers, but the best solution in my experience has been the tailored Leven Car Hood Cover.
It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for.
It's completely weatherproof, has flaps that tuck into the boot lid and under the bonnet, and overlaps so that rain doesn't penetrate behind the bonnet.
There is also a clever Velcro flap that allows access to open the driver's door without removing the whole cover.

I have tried full covers which flap alarmingly in high winds and chafe the bodywork and are a PITA to use, struggling with straps that tie under the car, not ideal when the exhaust is still hot, or if it is windy.
And cheap ones are just a total waste of money, they don't last long and do not keep the rain out.

So if you want the best, have look on this website:

I have no association with Leven/PPC, apart from being a very happy customer,I can assure you that their customer service is first class.

I heartily agree with Glen. Mine is also outside in all weathers. I had two 'ordinary' full car covers. They were a pain to use, were a nuisance in windy weather. They chaffed the paintwork and seemed to keep any damp enclosed in the car, giving mould problems.
I now have a Leven cover and it does all it says 'on the tin'. What is more the car seems to 'breath' better and the inside stays better......and I do not get all the leaves and spiders that seemed to accumulate under the car with the old covers.

I managed to get a Halfrauds one (medium) on the sale Isle for when mine was outside...only cost me about a tenner! It's just the few thousand it's going to cost me for the re-spray that hurts smile

No it was ok but as the chaps said the ties underneath are a real pain... You have to get the buckle and kind of throw with a skimming action like on the beach to miss the exhaust and get it far enough to reach from the other side while you're laying with your face pressed against the door! Oh and yes when it's windy just take it off all together! Not bad with rain though....although by now I'm sure you will be giving it a miss smile
