Afaik Alan had one available.. Failing that Speedy Cables can fix or upgrade them but it's a long turn around typically 12 weeks.
Do you know it's the speedo and not sender or wiring etc.. ?

Alan's speedo is from an S1, mechanically driven by cable.Do you know it's the speedo and not sender or wiring etc.. ?

As far as I know, the S2 is electrically triggered with a speed sensor driven from an output from the gearbox, so Alan's is not compatible.
Otherwise check as Damian advises.

Yep, rotary encoder in the gearbox with a 3 wire connector under the gear lever hole in the centre console. Wiring runs along the tunnel under the console to a connector in the drivers side under the dash. You can fish your hand under the dash to feel the back of the speedo and follow the cable down to the connector. The wires into the connectors were a bit fragile in mine and flexing over the years had broken one through giving intermittent contact (does this sound familiar).
I replaced the entire connector and everything was fine after that.
If it is the encoder then you can buy them from your local Ford dealer. Same as a Sierra from memory.
I did a dash out on my S2 to fix the heater and I've put a post on here about how to do it. I think that I put in a photo with the dash out which identified the speedo connector behind the dash.
