Hi all,
The waterpump on my S1 needs to be changed, but I'm not sure which one I exactly need.
I have already searched on this forum, but without succes.
My TVR is a S1 2.8 with motor code PR
Can someone comfirm that this is the correct pump? it looks the same as the one on my car.
thanks,
Bruno

Hi Bruno,
The water pump is exactly the same as fitted to the Ford Capri 2.8 Injection or Injection Special.
Your supplier should have that listed.
I think that the 2.9 engine water pump is slightly different.
Quite an easy job, but put some penetrating oil on the screws, let it soak in, and if they are tight, give them a tap with a hammer to help them undo. You don't want to shear any of them.
Good luck!
Hope you get it fixed before we come to Bruges

Sorry Bruno, I cannot make that link work. Give me the full site info and I will try to check for you.
I can not put a direct link, but if you go to:http://www.meyle.com/en/spare-parts/search.html and search for the following part number 713 220 0013 you'll find the water pump I was reffering to.

unfortunatly there were 2 bolts that sheared off when I removed the old pump. I already managed to remove 1, but there is still one sheared bolt left in the engine. I probably have to drill it out The water pump is exactly the same as fitted to the Ford Capri 2.8 Injection or Injection Special.

I have already tried to fit a new water pump, but it was not the correct one. the impeller of the water pump was not the same as the one that was installed on my engine.
If someone can give me a proper reference number to the pump I need, it will help me forward.
