Hi Chaps and Chapesses. Can someone give me a recommendation for replacement of the hose for the fresh air vent? Mine's seen better days but I am struggling to find the right hose. If anyone has a couple of meters then usual beer tokens rule applies.

Also, any recommendations on routing the pipe drivers side?

Thanks, Dave

I sentenced mine to the bin last week (enough ventilation with the roof off etc getmecoat)

Try searching for duct on car builder solutions, also think I had something in a previous life from Rally Design.

That's the best plan, bin them. They look a mess however you route them, plenty of fresh air with the top off wink

Before "seeing the light" and ditching mine I used this because I got some cheap free.... keep well away from exhaust, it melts very easily smile

As of last winter mine are history too. It looks so much better under the bonnet without them.

Paul - how did you get on with re-plumbing the air intake tube?

Joe

I couldn't get it past the radiator and the wheel arch, so have made a shorter air intake that sits just behind the radiator with a heat shield below the K&N filter. I am in the process of assembling all the bits at the moment. Once it is done I will take some photos.

At least the bonnet won't be squeezing the oil out every time I close the bonnet. Whatever is in that oil took the paint off the radiator support.

Stainless tubing and flexible exhaust piping. Run close to engine and it don't melt.

Dave,

I still have the pipework under the bonnet as it works wonders in the winter demisting the rear window. Although stiffer that the original I used this: http://www.dustspares.co.uk/Food-Application.html at a fraction of the cost - you only need 5m. Smooth inside so you don't get the build up of dust in the corrugations.
