I have an S1 (buried deep in garage for last few years) and I've been looking at photos of S's and thinking that it would look better (and presumably stay cooler) if the font ip of bonnet was moved backwards, meaning a larger grill. Thought someone with photoshop ability may be able to doctor an S1 to have such change, with an Aston'ish shaped larger grill.
Thanks in advance,
Shentodj

Have a look at Alan Whitaker's threads.

Interesting, but too modern.
I was thinking something more traditional, keeping "bumper" etc but just enlarging grill.
Thanks,

Plenty of S's been keeping their cool quite happily for the last 25 years or so with standard front end wink

Hi All.
I think Norman put some drawings up a few years ago, 3 or 4 options.

Yes agreed, mine doesn't overheat. More about the look than the function.

I have yet to see an S that has been modified, filled in bumpers, different lights etc. etc. that looks better than original.

It's a cute little car that doesn't need "improvement" (on the outside) imho wink

Got to agree with you Philpott. The S has a very definite and well liked look, it sold well (in TVR terms) at the time and it has stood the test of time very well. Owners are free to do what they want with their own cars but, I agree, I haven't seen one with significantly altered bodywork that I consider to be an 'improvement'.
I'm in the 'if it aint broke dont mend it' camp on this one.

As far as cooling goes, if there is a cooling problem then there is a cooling system problem not a bodywork problem.

Funny one this I like smoothed bumpers and that last one is interesting but I am far more inclined to fill the holes than make them bigger.
