My engine's tappy, anyone else fitted a BP270 camshaft?

I don't suppose it is an exhaust manifold leak? That can make a tappety sound?

No its not the exhaust. Its mechanical, valvetrain related, i'm sure of it.

Just passing and was gonna mention this same idea. It was offered as a solution for my tappety noise, proved to be a manifold gasket failure.

All gaskets are new and the exhaust is also new. Its a mechanical noise, rather than a leak or similar.

I am sure that this is not your problem but could be useful for others. Niiiges' S4 had a terrible noise like a stuck valve and a loud tappet. It was also running rough. Turned out to be a badly routed plug lead which had worn through on the alternator bracket and the spark was running straight to earth....
