Recommendations for a car cover
Discussion
Hi, can anyone recommend a half decent car cover just for summer use. I sold my house (and garage) in December and bought a place with 'space' for a garage.
Since then I have parked the motor up in my daughters garage about 10 miles away and to be honest it's driving me nuts especially with this decent weather, I have room to park it off road but it's under trees!
Thanks in advance

I would snap up magpies offer, especially as there is some doubt what you are going to do long term. That type of cover has the advantage that it will protect the whole car if it is under trees.
If however you wanted a long term protection for the vulnerable parts (hood, screens etc) but one which was easy to take on and off then I would think about getting the Leven Technologies hood cover. A couple of us now have them and swear by them. My car is out almost all year and the Leven cover has made a tremendous difference to the condiiton of my car and my ease of use.

+1 for the Leven Car Hood Cover, but you need to park away from those trees to avoid the sap, leaves, seeds & bird poo.
Brilliant all year-round protection for cars parked outside.
It's secure, doesn't flap or billow & chafe, is completely waterproof, easy access to the driver's door by parting the Velcro flap whilst the rest of the cover remains in place, held by the flaps that tuck under the bonnet and boot lid. Straps fasten around the mirror stems. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

I have the leven cover, and it is very good. However, in high winds I have found it likes to pick up at the back and flip over the roof. Brilliant all year-round protection for cars parked outside

I've tried everything with the flaps, to no avail so now throw a cheap universal cover over everything as it has elastic tie-downs!

Thought you weren't getting that one out of the wrapper - the old one has sooooo much life leftBrilliant all year-round protection for cars parked outside.

The time has come Mick Lewis's Friend, the rear of the cover should be held down by the flap that tucks under the boot lid.
In REALLY gusty conditions, you can link a couple of bungee straps together across the cover and hook onto the rear wheels.

I had one of these for my old (ahemm) Chimaera...the bit that tucked in to the boot allowed water to run past the boot seal. I once had enough water in there to bathe in!I'm not saying that a similar cover for the S would definitely do the same, but bear it in mind.

I do keep the boot lip drain tubes clear with a long bit of wire.
It's surprising how quickly bits of tree leaves & seeds can block it up.
